Officers are searching for a woman who was reportedly attacked after being dragged back inside a car as she tried to leave. Police say they are 'extremely concerned' for the woman's safety following an incident in Stockport on Saturday morning (December 28).

Greater Manchester Police received a report of a woman trying to leave a dark coloured hatchback car at the junction of Rostherne Road and Garners Lane.

She was then reportedly dragged back inside the vehicle and assaulted. The car was last seen shortly after 6.30am on Saturday, heading towards Davenport railway station.

GMP has issued two CCTV images from the scene and two descriptions, for the woman and the driver, as they try to piece together what happened.
