An urgent appeal has been issued after a man and woman reportedly attempted to 'grab' an 11-year-old girl as she walked to school in Irlam on Tuesday morning (January 14).
At around 8.30am, police were called to reports that the schoolgirl had been approached by a man and woman on Silver Street, close to the junction of Cutnook Lane.
It is believed the pair had been driving in the area in a car and a van. The two then reportedly grabbed hold of the girl before she was able to run away and tell an adult.
Police said the male is described as white, approx. 5ft 9 in. tall, with short dark hair. He was clean-shaven and wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie.
