mirror.co.ukA whopping £3 billion was spent over the weekend - the first since pubs and non-essential shops re-opened last Monday across England.
During the Wild Weekend, four million pints were drank per day as parched revellers flocked to beer gardens and reunited with friends for the first time in months.
An estimated 2.7million people enjoyed drinks outside boozers, with around 250,000 venues now serving alcohol, while 20million descended on high streets for some much-needed retail therapy.
Sunny springtime weather further helped to entice people from their homes, while a crowd of 4,000 football fans finally returned to Wembley Stadium for an FA Cup semi-final.
