Greater Manchester Police say the boy failed to give way to oncoming traffic and almost got hit by a car on Town Lane. The youngster then mounted a pavement 'at speed' and almost fell off.
Police say they spoke to the boy's mum and confiscated the e-scooter. Under current laws, anyone using electric scooters needs a driving licence and insurance, as well as requiring it to be registered with the DVLA, police said.
