Lauren Coates Actions have consequences. Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for “Until Dawn,” the live-action adaptation of the popular 2015 PlayStation horror game.

Developed by Supermassive Games, the “Until Dawn” video game follows a group of eight unsuspecting teenagers who convene in a remote cabin a year after two of their friends went missing.

Through the utilization of a high-stakes “butterfly effect” mechanic, players make choices that impact later gameplay as they try to dodge masked killers, cannibalistic creatures, and figure out who’s really worth trusting.

The trailer shows the butterfly effect in action as characters gets killed off by different monsters, only to come back to life and repeat the same events with slightly different outcomes each time.
