After much ado, Drake has released "Toosie Slide," his first foray into the hip-hop microgenre nebulously defined as "instructional dance music." It's a ploy so deliberately engineered to corner the TikTok market and to meme its way into being the next "God's Plan" that it's amazing it sounds as good as it does.
This week also sees the release of Thundercat's excellent new album It Is What It Is -- the follow-up to 2017's Drunk, and its Chopstars-helmed sister project Drank.
