The man accused of killing the CEO of UnitedHealthcare in Manhattan earlier this month has been linked to the murder by his fingerprints and gun, according to police.
As we’ve been reporting, Luigi Mangione is accused of shooting health insurance executive Brian Thompson in the early morning hours last Wednesday on an NYC street.
Days later, he was later arrested in Pennsylvania. And now, according to a reveal to the media from New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, evidence is apparently beginning to connect the accused to the shocking murder. Per the US Sun and others, Commissioner Tisch revealed on Thursday that the gun found on Mangione at the time of his arrest matched shell casings that were found at the murder scene outside the Hilton Hotel in Midtown Manhattan.
Furthermore, Tisch told reporters that Mangione’s fingerprints have also been linked to those found on a discarded water bottle and the wrapper of a snack bar that were both found near the scene of Thompson’s death.
