Diddy and Luigi Mangione will reportedly be housed in same jail
nme.comDiddy.UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was shot dead outside a Manhattan hotel on December 4, with the killer remaining at large for several days afterwards.
The suspect, initially described as a white man wearing a mask, fled the scene.On December 9, police arrested Mangione at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania after an employee recognised him from New York Police Department images.
A three-page manifesto was found in his possession, in which he criticised the American healthcare system.Mangione, 26, had been charged with second degree murder, three counts of illegal weapons possession and forgery.Now, CNN has reported that Mangione, who is currently in federal custody in New York, will be held in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center – the same federal prison that currently houses Diddy.
The news outlet also highlighted that Mangione’s defence attorney Karen Friedman Agnifilo is married to Marc Agnifilo, who currently serves as Diddy’s defence attorney.On Thursday (December 19), Mangione was also handed additional charges: one for murder through use of a firearm, two stalking charges and a firearms offense.
