Unique puppy who has hair growing through his eyes rescued from being put down

An animal lover saved an adorable puppy who was due to be put down because he was born with hair growing through his eyes - leaving vets baffled.

Garage worker Tracy Smith was delivering car parts to a working farm when she spotted pup Frankie with small tufts of hair sprouting through each eye, which were believed to make him blind.

When a worker revealed the dog would have to be put down as he was no use to them being visually impaired, Tracy immediately took the Jack Russell and Papillon cross home with her.

The 43-year-old headed to the vet with little Frankie to try and get an explanation but experts were baffled - and seven years on she still has no answers.
