One of Britain’s leading underwater search teams will launch a new hunt for joiner Kevin McGuire – more than 30 years after he disappeared.
Kevin was last seen leaving his home in the remote village of Stronachlachar, Perthshire, on December 31, 1994. Now members of Beneath the Surface are to begin a series of weekend searches, next month, using the latest in underwater sonar technology.
If unsuccessful there will be further trawls in May and then September. The young Glaswegian drove off after a late-night argument with his wife Lisa.
With no trace of the 27-year-old or his car since, it remains one of Scotland’s most baffling missing person cases. Beneath the Surface has previously searched for Kevin at lochs Katrine, Chon, Ard, and Arklet, plus the area round Inversaid Pier on Loch Lomond.
