Spring is here with Brits set to enjoy a four days of mild and sun from today, with weather more like a May bank holiday. It was officially the warmest day of the year so far on Wednesday after temperatures reached 17.5C in Weybourne, Norfolk following weeks of snow, freezing temperatures and flooding, While there isn't likely to be any more records yet for temperatures for 2021, following yesterday's balmy weather, it will stay warm for most parts of the country into the weekend.
The unseasonably warm weather is due to air being blown up from north Africa and Spain, forecasters said. Today forecasters predict highs of about 12C in some parts of the south and the relatively warm weather looks set to continue.
