A mixture of subzero temperatures, rain showers and bitter winds will see Britain out of March today - though there will be plenty of sunshine.
Over the past 24 hours the lowest temperature recorded in the UK was -4C in Trawsgoed, near Aberystwyth, while parts of Scotland have seen 7.4mm of rain, according to the Met Office.
Tuesday is set to see plenty of cloud coverage and some showers, with 30 flood alerts having been put in place by the Environment Agency.
The south is likely to see the best of the sunshine though it was Boulmer in Northumberland on the Scottish border seeing the best of the brightness yesterday, recording 10.7 hours of sun.
