Britain could be once again basking in scorching temperatures in the coming days - but not before more heavy rain strikes throughout the country.
Some forecasters are predicting up to 30C next week - with the majority of meteorologists agreeing drier weather is on the way at the very least.
But before that there's plenty more rain and heavy winds to come this week, with gusts in parts of Scotland to exceed 40mph on Monday.
BBC forecaster Helen Willetts said from the weekend a southerly wind is due to move in meaning "the temperature is likely to start to rise". "But there's quite a bit of uncertainty in the forecast that far ahead," she admitted. "And even if the temperature does rise we are only looking at, we think, the low to mid-20s
