The UK is set to be battered by gales of up to 60mph with the Met Office issuing a warning for strong winds. Powerful winds are set to sweep across parts of the country on Wednesday, bringing with it rain and potential disruption to travel.
The yellow warning is in place from midnight on Wednesday until 3pm the same day in two areas; the south west of England including south Devon and Cornwall, and Northern Ireland around Belfast.
Potential problems include large waves on coast routes, delays to road, rail air and ferry services and high sided vehicles are urged to take care.
