A UK billionaire has given a rare glimpse into his life as he celebrated his 72nd birthday. John Caudwell is the 109th richest person in Britain, boasting a net worth of £1.54 billion, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.

The father-of-seven, who welcomed his youngest child just last year, started his career as an apprentice at Michelin tyre company before establishing what would become Phones 4U with his brother, Brian.

They sold the business in 2006 for a staggering £1.46 billion. Now, John lives in Broughton Hall, Staffordshire, just over an hour from Greater Manchester, with houses also in London and Monaco.

And, as OK! interviewed him aboard his luxury superyacht Titania, moored in Monte Carlo, Monaco, he was accompanied by his partner of a decade, former Olympic cyclist Modesta Vžesniauskaitė, 41, and their two young children, in was a rare moment of relaxation for the typically busy philanthropist.
