The UK’s longest-suffering coronavirus patient says it feels like a dream to still be alive after her miraculous recovery. Fatima Bridle spent an incredible 130 days in hospital after falling ill when she returned to the country from Morocco.

She is now in a recovery ward after 105 days on a ventilator, including 40 days in a coma. The brave 35-year-old has been battling the virus, pneumonia and sepsis since March - and her husband has now hailed her as a medical miracle.

Fatima told The Sun on Sunday: “They are incredible. I would like to thank every one of the doctors and nurses who have given me a chance of a new life. "I am happy to be here.
