A travel blogger has issued a warning to UK holidaymakers, urging them to double-check their passport details. Kylie, who goes by the name England and Everywhere on TikTok, has advised travellers to pay close attention to the expiry date on their passports, particularly if they still hold a 'red' one.She refers to this as "passport maths", explaining that there's a method to determine whether your passport is still valid for travel, reports the Mirror.

She said: "My passport here expires in June 2026, so technically I've got two years left on my passport, right? No I have not.""My passport was actually first issued in September 2015, which means it expires in September 2025, so that's only like a year away, not two.

But then from there, if we do some maths, September 2025, from there some countries require you to have three months left - as in before your expiry date. "That would mean my passport expires in June 2025.

Some countries, especially for long haul flights, require you to have six months left, which then means my passport expires in March 2025, even though in the actual book it says June 2026."So that's like a year and a half before the expiry date listed in my passport, so I'm going to be renewing my passport at the end of this year because I want to travel in March next year when this is close to actually expiring."Kylie mentioned she's gearing up to renew her passport come November, noting, "in theory I have two years left".
