A travel guide has unveiled a list of "no-go" locations that tourists should reconsider visiting next year, and a UK destination is among them.

Scotland's renowned North Coast 500 road trip has been featured in the 2025 Fodor's Travel 'Go and No Lists' as a place to think twice about.

The picturesque 516-mile route, which highlights the area's magnificent castles and coastal vistas through Wester Ross, Sutherland, Caithness, Easter Ross, the Black Isle and Inverness-shire, is the only UK spot to appear on the list. The roads are also described as being "congested with traffic". Despite Scotland's right to roam policy permitting access to most land, wild camping along the NC500 has become an issue, with individuals setting up camp on beaches, lay-bys and even private land, reports the Express.
