UK coronavirus death toll rises by 18 as cases soar by over 1,000 for 3rd day in a row

mirror.co.ukA further 18 people have died with coronavirus bringing the death toll in all settings to 41,423. The Department of Health today reported 1,288 further cases of the virus - as new infections remained above 1,000 for the third straight day.
A total of 324,601 people in Britain have now been confirmed to have contracted Covid-19. Separate figures published by the UK's statistics agencies show there have now been 57,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
Yesterday, deaths in all settings climbed by 2 but new cases were reported to be 1,033. Earlier today it was reported that a further seven patients died with coronavirus in the UK's hospitals.
