UK arrivals 'to pay more than £1,000 for hotel quarantine stay' to stop spread of Covid

UK arrivals forced to quarantine in hotels under a new Covid crackdown on travellers will reportedly face bills of more than £1,000 for their stay.

The Best Western hotel chain said it was 'ready to step in' and were waiting for the Government 'green light' to provide 'safe, cared for Covid isolation for travellers requiring hotel quarantine.' The aviation industry, however, has warned of 'catastrophe' on the already beleaguered trade with plans for passengers arriving in the UK to have to stay sealed inside a hotel for 10 days.
