UEFA has unveiled a new Champions League draw format which will see 36 teams participating in the revised league phase, formerly known as the group stage.
In the revamped format, teams will compete in eight matches against eight different teams, a departure from the previous format of playing three teams twice.
The eight opponents will be determined based on seeding in four pots, which is decided by each club's coefficient at the start of the season.
Manchester City will be included in pot one. Each team will then face two opponents from each pot, with one match at home and one away.
