Tyson Fury faces Dillian Whyte this year after the WBC officially ordered the world heavyweight champion to take on his mandatory challenger.
The bout was expected to have been confirmed earlier, but ongoing issues first between Whyte and the WBC, and then over purse bids, meant the announcement was delayed.
Then there was speculation that Anthony Joshua was ready to accept a step-aside offer for Fury to face Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed heavyweight clash but no agreement could be reached.
Fury vs Whyte went to purse bids Mexico City on Friday with Frank Warren submitting the winning bid at a whopping $41million.
