Tyson Fury’s hopes of a unification bout with Anthony Joshua have been dashed after the latter suffered a shock defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury and Joshua were due to go toe-to-toe in Saudi Arabia this summer but those plans were halted after an American court ruled that Deontay Wilder could have his rematch with the Gypsy King.
That bout is set for tonight in Las Vegas, while Joshua lost his belts against Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last month.
The Brit conceded his four belts to the Ukrainian after the completion of 12 rounds in which Usyk dominated from start to finish, threatening the knockout late on.
