The defeat was the first of the Bronze Bomber’s career with Fury having never been beaten in professional boxing. The win over Wilder has set up a potential bout with Anthony Joshua, who holds the other three heavyweight belts, though Wilder will get the chance for redemption in a trilogy bout.
Joshua has also tasted defeat in his career, being beaten by Andy Ruiz Jr, though the Brit got his revenge last December by dominating the Mexican.
