Tyson Fury's co-promoter Bob Arum has stated that talks are taking place with Oleksandr Usyk regarding a unification bout, in what would be a major shift to the heavyweight scene.
Fury has been mandated by the WBC to defend his belt against Dillian Whyte, while Usyk will face off once again against Anthony Joshua in a rematch of their September bout.
However, Arum has said that there is significant push from the Middle East to get the unification fight up next - which would see both Joshua and Whyte step aside.
The Middle East was set to play host to Fury's clash with Joshua last summer, before plans fell through, and clearly still want to be the venue for a unification bout.
