Amy Tinkler retired from gymnastics amid claims of sickening weight-shaming abuse. The Dancing on Ice star was Team GB’s youngest medallist at the Rio Olympics in 2016 when she won the bronze medal in the floor exercise at the age of 16.
But behind the smile she had as she stood on the podium to collect her bronze medal was a dark secret. Amy suffered in silence for years but courageously spoke out about the alleged abuse she received from coaches.
During an interview with ITV news last year, Amy claimed national coach Amanda Reddin "went psycho" after finding sweet wrappers in her room.
It was also alleged that Amy was accused of looking "fat" by Reddin, who has stood down from her role pending an investigation into her conduct.
