Two teens die and three others fighting for life after New Year's Day horror crash

Two teenagers are dead and three others are in a critical condition following a horrific crash in Hull. The incident happened in the Preston area during the early hours of New Year's Day.

An 18-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, both passengers in a Volkswagen Golf, were confirmed dead by the police. Two more teenagers are battling life-threatening injuries in hospital, while the driver of the VW Golf sustained minor wounds.

A second vehicle, a Vauxhall Grandland, was also involved, resulting in further casualties, including a 62 year old with critical injuries.

Police are now seeking witnesses and have launched an appeal for information. They said: "Officers are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision in Preston, Hull in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday 1 January).
