Detectives investigating the assault issued an appeal which led to the arrests and to a passing nurse, who assisted at the scene, to come forward.
Police are continuing to appeal for members of the public to come forward. On Sunday July 11, a fight took place between 11pm and 11.15pm in the middle of London Road outside the restaurant Stockyard.
