Two people have been taken to Crosshouse Hospital, with a further injured person treated and discharged at the scene, after a three vehicle crash on the B7080 in Irvine on Tuesday.Police Scotland, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) and Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) attended the incident on Long Drive between Newmoor Roundabout and Towerlands Interchange after they received a report at around 10am.There were two ambulances sent to the scene and it was later confirmed that those who were transported to the hospital had "non life threatening injuries".A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10am on Tuesday, 9 May 2023, police received a report of a three vehicle crash on the B7080 at Long Drive, Irvine. "Police, SFRS and SAS attended and two people were taken to the University Hospital Crosshouse, Kilmarnock with non life threatening injuries. "The road was closed for approximately two hours to allow recovery of the vehicles. "One man will be subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with an alleged road traffic offence."
