Two men have been arrested and charged after an alleged rammy at a Scots golf course. Police were called to Cochrane Golf Club in Johnstone, East Renfrewshire, after being alerted to an alleged incident on Sunday, May 1.
A 49-year-old man was rushed to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment to an alleged serious head injury. He was involved in an alleged verbal altercation with a group of golfers.Following enquiries, cops confirmed that two men - aged 55 and 28 - have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.They have been released from custody and are due to appear in court at a later date.A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "With reference to our previous release regarding the alleged assault of a 49-year-old man at Cochrane Golf Club, Johnstone on Sunday, May 1, 2022, please be advised that two men, aged 55 and 28 years, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident."They have been released on an Undertaking to appear at court at a later date.
