Two guns were found in a stolen car after police were called to a 30-person brawl in Wigan. Officers were first scrambled to Wood Street in the Newtown area at around 11.40pm on Saturday night (September 3).
A huge fight had broken out on the street, police said. A silver Citroen C3 fled the scene and officers gave chase. The car rammed a police vehicle during the pursuit before it came to a stop on Wood Lane in Standish. Two firearms were found inside the Citroen, leading officers to believe the people inside were 'en-route to commit a criminal offence'.
A hunt to find the occupants of the car is now underway. Police are asking anyone with information to get in touch. In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "At 11.41pm on Saturday (3 September), police received a report of a large fight happening on Wood Street, Newtown, involving around 30 people.
