On July 4, athletes from around the world descended upon Bolton and Leigh for the triathlon, after a year's delay due to the pandemic.
The traditional event consists of a 2.4-mile swim in Pennington Flash, a 112-mile bike ride and a marathon which finishes in the town centre.
