Two Greater Manchester areas named amongst UK's top 10 Airbnb hotspots

New data has revealed that two boroughs in Greater Manchester are now amongst the top 10 Airbnb hotspots in the UK. The latest figures released by the Office for National Statistics have shown a recent surge in short-term lets in certain parts of the country.

The town of Rochdale is now one of the top five biggest rental hotspots in terms of the speed in growth, with the area reporting an 89 percent increase in short-term lets available on Airbnb, Booking.com and Expedia Group in 2023.

The number of short-term let listings went up from 90 in January 2023 to 170 in December 2023 - the fourth largest increase in the UK.

The Trafford borough is also amongst the UK's top rental hotspot areas, coming in at fifth place, with the number of short-term lets rising by 75 percent during the same period.
