Guy Pearce, the Neighbours heartthrob, and his Game of Thrones star girlfriend Carice van Houten have called it quits, with Carice making a surprising revelation on her Instagram.The 48 year old actress shared with her followers that she and Guy, 57, haven't been an item for 'years', yet they continue to share a close friendship.

She posted a picture of the two on her Instagram Stories, clarifying: "I don't usually engage in discussions about my personal life, but because of a number of conclusions in the media last week regarding my relationship with Guy, I wanted to make something clear." "He and I are great friends and love each other very much, but we haven't been a couple for years." Carice, who is mum to their nine year old son, also expressed: "I am, however, very proud to say we are in a wonderful partnership raising the true love of our lives – our beautiful son and his hamster.The end." Guy, famed for his role as Mike Young on Neighbours, began his romance with Carice in 2015 following the end of his nearly two-decade-long marriage to Kate Mestitz.

Carice, known for her portrayal of Melisandre in Game of Thrones, gave birth to their son Monte in 2016, reports the Mirror.
