The latest horror-themed show from Mike Flanagan takes inspiration from the work of gothic writer Edgar Allan Poe. The focus is on the ruthless Usher family as it is targeted by the mysterious Verna (Carla Gugino) amid a high-profile trial examining their controversial pharmaceutical company.
I was a massive fan of Flanagan’s Haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor shows and Usher is another terrifying triumph. The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The plentiful performances are too majestic across the board to give everyone a mention but Bruce Greenwood - replacing Frank Langella after he was fired during the production - is outstanding as the patriarch Roderick .
