TV presenter rushed to hospital in ambulance after shock collapse at GP

TalkTV presenter Peter Cardwell has shared a health update with fans, revealing he was rushed to hospital in an ambulance after collapsing at the doctor's.

He broke the news on social media platform X, writing: "Thanks to everyone in touch about my health. Bit of drama yesterday at the GP where I collapsed and was brought to A&E in an ambulance; many tests, drips etc.

Docs told me to rest for a week, so I'm hopefully back on air on Weds 29th. NHS and @TalkTV colleagues have been great." The journalist, who presents on TalkTV from Fridays to Sundays, received an outpouring of support from his followers.

One expressed concern about long waiting times, posting: "Hope you didn't have to wait too long in A&E. Get well soon." Peter responded appreciatively: "Thanks -- they were excellent.
