A Turkish teenager, Sefkan, 19, who is dating an Edinburgh grandmother, Rachel McIntyre, 35, has opened up about their relationship, saying he sees a "long future with her" and that "age doesn't matter", despite their 16 year age gap.The couple met during Rachel's two-month holiday in Turkey where Sefkan works as a hotel waiter in Marmaris.

Speaking to MailOnline, Sefkan said: "It doesn't matter to me about age, I love her so much and she is so beautiful, and that is all I care about." He added: "I didn't know she was older until she told me her age.

I was shocked. "We love each other very much and I see a future together. It's very hard not seeing her everyday, and having her with me everyday, but we always speak." Rachel, who has previously shared her story with OK!, initially "backed off" when she realised his age due to him being the same age as her daughter Bethany.

However, she described Sefkan as "kind, clever, gentle, funny, and a wonderful lover" and they gradually fell in love. She said: "Bethany was a little bit freaked out by the whole situation at first and said it couldn't happen," reports Edinburgh Live. "But after a very short period of time she came round and just wants me to be happy - and plus she gets on with Sefkan." Sefkan "finds it funny" that he is a step dad and grandad at his age. "I didn't think that would happened, but it is good and I love Bethany too and the baby.
