Six families will be celebrating an extra-special Christmas in brand-new homes after a housing association took ownership of additional properties at a popular Hamilton development.Trust housing association has acquired six more three-bed semi-detached homes at the Glow Garren development on the site of the former Philips factory – a year after purchasing four houses at the same location.All of the tenants have now moved in, with new resident Vicky Harkness telling how it “means the absolute world to our family”, adding: “Our children have been sharing a room for years and are very excited about getting their own space and their own rooms.”The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The housing association has grown its stock from 2500 to nearly 4000 homes during the past five years, and say: “Demand for modern, energy-efficient, affordable social rented properties in South Lanarkshire is high.” South
