In one of its final acts, the Donald Trump administration is preparing to deport a man to Haiti - despite him having never been there before, it has been reported.

According to The Guardian the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) is to carry out a final deportation flight under Donald Trump on Tuesday, with one plane bound for Haiti.

One of the passengers is said to be Paul Pierrilus, a 40-year-old financial consultant from Rockland County, New York. The paper reports that he was born in the French Caribbean territory of Saint Martin and his family said he came to the US with his parents when he was five, and both his sister and parents are US citizens.
