Cynthia Littleton Business Editor The NASDAQ briefly halted trading of shares in Donald Trump‘s media firm Tuesday amid Election Day volatility, a spike in volume and a price drop as the final hour of trading approached.

Trump’s DJT shares representing his Trump Media and Technology Group Corp. have been up and down all year in tandem with his always-unpredictable presidential campaign.

On Tuesday, as millions of Americans went to the polls to vote, NASDAQ halted trading in DJT shares from 2:42 p.m. to 2:47 p.m.

ET. The index triggered its market cool off process as volume of trading spiked and the price began to sink from around $37 to $34 in seconds.
