He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.

A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.

When networks and other news outlets descend on the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse today for the start of Donald Trump‘s latest trial, much will be made of the fact that this is a moment like no other: A former president facing criminal proceedings.

The case itself has been referred to as the “hush money” case or the “Stormy Daniels case,” far sexier titles than the underlying issues involved: Falsification of business records.

That isn’t to say there won’t be drama, as Trump’s relentless attacks on the judge and his family members, along with potential witnesses, signal raucous moments in the courtroom, just as was seen as he faced civil proceedings in cases brought by writer E.

Jean Carroll and New York Attorney General Letitia James. Trump’s latest trial was the first of four times last year that he was indicted on separate criminal charges, with other cases pending in Florida, Washington, D.C.
