A "lovely man and great neighbour" tragically died after falling from a bridge on the East Lancs Road. Police were called to scene near the junctions of Rainford Road and Abbey Road in St Helens at around 1.20pm on Friday (October 25).
The incident caused a major road closure on the busy dual carriageway and drivers were advised to stay away from the area. Later that evening, authorities confirmed that the man had passed away at the location.
