A woman who was found dead at a home in Peterhead on Tuesday evening has been named locally as Elizabeth Watson.Tributes have poured in for the grandmother across the community with countless people describing her as a "lovely woman" who always made time to say hello to everyone she passed.Officers were made aware of a concern for a 58-year-old woman at Catto Drive in the Aberdeenshire town after the alarm was raised at around 6.15pm on Tuesday.
Upon arrival the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.Police launched a probe following the discovery. The force confirmed this morning that a 30-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the woman's death.Peterhead has been left shocked by the passing of Elizabeth who was well-loved by all that knew her.As well as being a devoted mum and grandmother, she was a member of Apex Church and has been described as an amazing neighbour.
