A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Elizabeth Watson who was found dead at her Peterhead home on Tuesday evening.
The 58-year-old who was described as a "much loved mum and grandmother" by her family was discovered at Catto Drive in the Aberdeenshire town by police after the alarm was raised at around 6.15pm on June 27.
Jonathon Divers, 30, appeared in private on Friday, June 30, at Peterhead Sheriff Court where he faced a single charge of murder and made no plea.He was committed for further examination and is expected to appear before the court again in the next eight days.
He was remanded in custody.Elizabeth's death has left her heartbroken loved ones and members of the local community completely devastated.
