A former DJ has been hailed as a "true gentleman" and a "legend" after he passed away. Tributes flooded in for beloved Radio City disk jockey Johnny Kennedy following his death.
The well-known radio presenter and entertainer was a familiar voice on a number of stations. One of his former outlets, Dune Radio, said: "Very sad news to hear that radio legend Johnny Kennedy has sadly passed away."Johnny not only worked with us from our launch day as Sandgrounder Radio in June 2016 for a few years but also when we ran the station on a temporary 28-day broadcast licence in 2015."Our thoughts are with Johnny's friends and family at this very sad time.
RIP JK JD." He also presented shows on Dune FM, Wirral Radio, and River Radio.The Mirror reports Billy Butler, a veteran broadcaster, also honoured him.
He said: "So sad to hear of the passing of Johnny Kennedy comedian, DJ, vocalist, opera singer, marathon runner, charity champion and devoted husband. "Always great company.
