The family of a 'much-loved' 40-year-old man who died after being hit by a car in Tameside have paid a touching tribute to him.
The crash happened on Stockport Road in the Ashton-under-Lyne area at around 11.55pm last Wednesday (April 24). Officers responded to reports of a collision between a pedestrian and car, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said.
Tragically, the pedestrian - a 40-year-old man - died in the incident. Police have now named him as Shaun Davies. In full, the tribute released today (April 29), said: "We sadly lost our beloved brother Shaun to a hit and run on the 24th April. "He was a much-loved son, brother and uncle.
