A jury has heard a harrowing first-hand account of onlookers trying to help a seven-year-old girl after she was stabbed in a Bolton park.Emily Jones died after she was fatally attacked by Eltiona Skana, 30, who grabbed her and slashed her neck with a craft knife while the child was riding her scooter towards her mother, a trial at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court has been told.Skana, who has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, has denied murdering the youngster in Queen's Park on March 22 of this year.
She has pleaded guilty to a charge of manslaughter on the basis of diminished responsibility.On the the third day of the trial, the jury was shown video evidence of a police interview with Lynsey Canty, who had been walking in.
