Trees have been felled across Greater Manchester as Storm Eunice causes damage and disruption. Dramatic pictures show how gale force winds have brought down trees, landing on cars and blocking roads.

A large tree has fallen onto two cars, a BMW and a Renault Clio, on Scarsdale Road in Victoria Park, south Manchester, and blocked the road. The tree damaged a brick wall and has blocked Bailey Lane in Wythenshawe. While disruption has also been caused at Trafford Park after a large tree fell and blocked a busy access route at the industrial park.

A witness said the tree narrowly avoided hitting a lorry. A road close to the train station in Woodley, Stockport, was blocked after a tree fell.
