A Scots mum told how a horrific crash with her baby in the car triggered a wave of intense depression.Becky Copson, who suffered from postnatal depression, has opened up on the "traumatic" crash near Lochwinnoch in Renfrewshire in October 2021.
The 36-year-old lost control of her car when it drove straight into a road sign before hitting a hedge.Her vehicle ended up on the opposite side of the road.
Thankfully, both she and her baby, Noah, who is now two-years-old, were uninjured.But Becky said the mental trauma of the collision clung onto her and left her fearing to travel the route again.
Becky, who lives in Johnstone, told Glasgow Live: "I got out of the car and somebody had stopped. I kept saying 'I don’t know what happened' then I completely shut down."It triggered a week-long bad spell where I couldn’t focus on anything, I couldn’t see anything good.
