Tributes have been paid to a young woman with a 'sunshine soul' who was tragically found dead in woodland. The body of Lauren Carmichael was found near Stockham Lane in Runcorn, Cheshire, at around 8.45pm on Saturday (August 5).
The 22-year-old was reported missing to the police by her family at 7pm the night before. A missing appeal posted on social media by Lauren's mum was shared more than 7,000 times before her body was found, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Alisha Dutton said: "I loved you with my whole heart Lauren, and I don’t know what I’m going to do without you in my life. RIP Beautiful." Nicole Louise Bridge said: "RIP Lauren, still have those photos from high school in form, we were good mates with a good friends group, you made everyone smile, even though we had our differences along the way I would never imagine this happening, fly high girl, thoughts are with the family." Nyah Thomas described Lauren as 'a lovely girl who always made everyone laugh and cheered them up no matter what' and 'one of the sweetest girls I knew'.
